Election results of Kashmiri Samiti Delhi
KSD, the nodal agency of Kashmiri Pandits in Delhi, held elections in Delhi for the new executive body to lead the KSD for next two years 2008-10. The election was held for the post of president, two vice presidents, general secretary and executives for the different areas of Delhi. Almost 40 per cent of the members of KSD cast their votes. The polling, which started at 9am in the morning, was held at different locations in Delhi where the people came in huge numbers to cast their votes. The results were declared late evening with Dhar wining the president’s post for the second time, along with BL Bhatt and Avanish Tickoo, who were elected as vice president. The day was however great for Koul who got huge number of votes and was elected again as general secretary for the next two years. It will be his second term as general secretary of KSD. Out of 1100 votes, which were caste for the general secretary post, Koul got around 800 votes and won the election. Sanjay Raina, Vijay Raina, and advocate Dileep Pandita were declared elected unopposed as the executive body members from area of Rohini.From Dwarka area a young youth of the Kashmiri Pandit community Sanjay Pandita was elected as member executive body.
