Delhi Elections : BJP will organise a city wide strike on Friday
Ahead of the assembly elections in the national capital, the BJP will organise a city-wide strike on May 2 against the spiralling prices of essential commodities and vegetables.
“People are suffering due to rising prices of basic items. Vegetables are out of their reach. By observing complete strike, we want the government to wake up from its slumber and ease the life of a common man,” BJP’s Delhi unit president Harshvardhan said.
He said all the BJP workers would come to the streets to stage protest against the “government’s apathy” in controlling the prices.
Harshvardhan said the traffic would not be obstructed during the strike so that people do not have to face difficulty.
Claiming that Congress party’s nexus with the blackmarketeers was the reason behind increasing prices, the BJP leader said “It is a matter of investigation that whenever the Congress comes to power the prices increases very fast”.
