BSP announced three candidates for the Lok Sabha seats from the national capital

The BSP on became the first political party to announce candidates for the Lok Sabha seats from the national capital for the upcoming general elections, clearing names for three out of the seven constituencies.

Candidates were announced for East Delhi, North East Delhi and Chandni Chowk constituencies. They include Harilal Gupta (East Delhi) and Thakur Suryakant (North East), BSP Delhi unit president Jageram Bhati.

In keeping with the party’s new social engineering formula for creating a ’sarva samaj’, the candidates to fight from the three constituencies did not belong to Dalit community, BSP sources said.

“BSP is the only party to help the Thakur community get its political due in the capital,” he said explaining the rationale for selecting a member from the Thakur community to contest from North-East Delhi.
