Delhi Elections : No decision yet on Jammu and Kashmir elections

The Election Commission is yet to take a decision on holding the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Full Commission, comprising Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami and Commissioners Navin Chawla and S.Y. Qureshi, has been holding talks since Friday last. But no decision is forthcoming. In Jammu and Kashmir, which is under President’s Rule, elections will have to be held by January 10, 2009.
