Delhi Elections : Congress fields Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi
The Congress on Tuesday ended West Delhi constituency’s long wait for a nominee and fielded MLA Mahabal Mishra — a clear choice of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and state Congress chief J P Aggarwal.
Bringing an end to its long deliberations on the West Delhi Parliamentary seat, Congress on Tuesday decided to field Dwarka MLA Mahabal Mishra for the seat.
Mishra, has projected himself as the Poorvanchali voice in the Capital, though in this Punjab-dominated constituency, the Poorvanchali vote is minimal. Party sources said the leadership was perhaps looking at the 40-lakh strong migrant vote in the entire city, though this is concentrated mostly in South, North and North-East Delhi.
