Delhi Elections : B L Sharma assets: Rs 500 in hand and a German revolver
BJP candidate B L Sharma Prem, who is contesting from the North-East, was the first one to submit his papers. Sahib Singh Chauhan filed as a dummy candidate for Sharma.
In his asset declaration, Prem has said that he has only Rs 37,187 in his bank account, with only Rs 500 in hand at the time of nomination. He apparently has no other savings, barring an apartment in middle-class BK Dutt colony in Karwala, built in 1991 and worth Rs 7.5 lakh, and a point 32 calibre German revolver.
What assets the leader has, is in the name of his wife, Krishna, in the form of bonds and shares, amounting to around Rs 15 lakh. Like the good BJP soldier that he claims to be, Prem said that the assets showed his dedication to the decades of political activism he’s put in, a fact that should resonate with the constituency people.
