Delhi Elections : J P Aggarwal files nomination from North East Delhi

Congress candidate from North East Delhi constituency J P Agarwal submitted his nomination papers in Delhi on Saturday and declared that he and his wife own assets worth Rs 2.8 crore.

The  Rajya Sabha MP was picked by the party just a day before the end of nomination for  North-east      Delhi  Parliamentary constituency after candidature of  Jagdish  Tytler was withdrawn in the wake of shoe-throwing incident.

Confident of his victory over his main BJP rival B L Sharma Prem, Aggarwal claimed that he was well acquainted with the capital like the back of his palm and people knew him personally.

I, the undersigned, on behalf of the residents of Keshav Nagar encroach upon your valuable time to bring in your kind notice the untold sufferings and great difficulties being faced by the thousand residents of Keshav Nagar on account of inordinate delay in laying the water pipelines in this colony.

Inspite of the fact that the matter after getting clearance from Delhi Jal Board and also funds sanctioned by Delhi Govt. the issue is pending with Ministry of U.D since long for the reasons best known to them. In this context letters from Executive Engineer (North), OHT (DJB) Mukherji Nagar, Delhi are enclosed here with for your kind perusal.

It may not be out of place to mention here that Keshav Nagar(Mukti Ashram) is one of the oldest colonies of Burari area and has a considerable habitation your good- self will appreciate the patience of the residents who have to wait for days to reach the water tanker in this colony in this scorching heat of summer when the adjoining Colonies like Sushant Vihar and others are getting regular supply of water under the recent policy framed by Delhi Govt. for Unauthorized Colonies in Burari-2 Constituency.

I am sure your good self would be kind enough to intervene in the matter to achieve promptness which I understand that the matter is at the final stage with U.D. Deptt.
