Delhi Elections : BSP candidate Mohammed Yunus gets notice on ads
BSP candidate Mohammed Yunus, who is fighting the Lok Sabha elections from East Delhi , has been served a notice by the returning officer for “spreading communal hatred”.
The notice was sent after advertisements appeared for two days April 27 and 29 in a Hindi daily. The ad, according to the complaint, was targetting a particular community and was deemed communal in nature. According to Sources the notices have been sent to Yunus as the ad clearly violated the model code of conduct. “The advertisement talked about Gujarat and Godhra and asked the community not to forget the incidents. It also asked people to vote as a community to avenge the deaths…”
