Vijender Gupta, is one of India’s brightest young political leaders imbued with modern thinking, transformational leadership qualities, enlightened administrative skills and an irrepressible ‘can do’ spirit.
Vijender Gupta has been Chairman of the Standing Committee MCD since 2007. Prior to that he was leader of the Opposition in Standing Committee MCD (2002-07). He has also been Chairman, Law & General Purpose Committee, MCD (1997-1998), Secretary, BJP Delhi State since 2002, General Secretary. BJP Mandal Pitampura (1990-93), and was elected thrice as Councilor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi with the highest margin since 1997. Shri Gupta’s active political career began as Vice President, Delhi University Students Union, during 1984-85.
Vijender Gupta has attended workshops on urban and rural development in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and visited USA, Canada, UK, France and Switzerland.
