Smt. Meera Kanwariya

Meera Kanwariya was mayor of Delhi in 1997-2002.
She is a post-graduate in Hindi from Delhi University, was a teacher for 22 years and was working as a lecturer in Government Senior Secondary School, Hari Nagar Ghantaghar Delhi, before she took voluntary retirement. she was appointed as chairman of the appointment, promotion and allied matters committee of the MCD.
